About Gail Carson Psychology

I hold a deep respect for each person’s own inner capacity for change and healing. I aim to create a space where you can begin to understand yourself more fully, recognise patterns, and reconnect with your own internal sense of self and direction. My approach is person-centred and collaborative. I bring a thoughtful and attuned presence to sessions, with an awareness of both what is spoken and what may be just beneath the surface.

I am a Registered Psychologist in Orange, NSW, with experience across private practice, community mental health, and hospital settings. I have supported people with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, mood disorders, personality disorders and periods of significant change.

My work is informed by evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, attachment-informed approaches, self-compassion practices, somatic approaches, and clinical hypnotherapy. I integrate these flexibly, depending on your needs.

I am always learning with a commitment to ongoing professional development and regular supervision and further training.
